Country Club Hills
Nestled in the rolling hills of Fairfax, Virginia, Country Club Hills is a hidden gem of a community. With its winding roads and lush landscaping, the neighborhood has a distinctly rural feel, despite being close to downtown Washington, D.C.
Country Club Hills is a lovely neighborhood that consists of 320 homes on 135 acres. The community has L-shaped homes that have brick ramblers with window walls across the back. The homes were built in the late 1950s and early 1960s on large, beautifully landscaped lots. Many of the homes have been maintained and updated, while some have been expanded. There is a mix of one- and two-story homes, and most have carports or finished basements. The homes are an average size of 1,300 square feet and have between two and four bedrooms.
The neighborhood is bordered by Old Lee Highway to the south, Spring Lake Terrace to the north, Spring Lake Terrace and St. Leo’s Catholic Church to the west, and Fairfax High School to the east.
The community is close-knit, and residents often gather together at one of the many parks for a barbecue or an ice cream social. In the evenings, people take leisurely strolls around the neighborhood, getting to know their neighbors and enjoying the fresh air.
Country Club Hills falls under the Fairfax County Public Schools, serving over 180,000 students in grades K-12. FCPS is committed to providing a high-quality education for all students and offers a variety of programs and services to meet the needs of diverse learners. Schools in the neighborhoods include Daniels Run Elementary, Lanier Middle, and Fairfax High.
